What is bayberry wax? As its name implies, it comes from bayberries. It's naturally khaki green and lightly scented. Once considered a luxury, it brought about the tradition of being burned only on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, for good luck. But you might love our candles so much that you make exceptions for other occasions.
What makes our bayberry candles special? The unique blend of two traditional waxes, bayberry and beeswax ensure that our candles are dripless and long-burning. Most bayberry candles have added dye and scents, so if you're used to a strong bayberry smell, you will find ours much subtler, as we add nothing artificial to our candles. If you notice a white film on our candles, that's The Bloom from the beeswax; a naturally occurring microorganism that grows on beeswax.
So be sure to stock up on these lovely candles to give as gifts and to have on hand when it comes time to celebrate the new year!
